About

Keziah Thomas is a film composer, music producer, DJ, pianist, and singer whose work fuses orchestral richness with modern electronic textures and vibrant ethnic influences. Drawing inspiration from composers like Ramin Djawadi and Hans Zimmer, she treats music as storytelling, crafting scores that heighten emotion and bring narratives vividly to life.

Born and raised in Bangalore, India, Keziah began composing on the piano at the age of seven. By fifteen, she had earned a diploma in audio engineering, immersing herself in recording, mixing, and production before discovering her true calling in film scoring. As a female composer navigating cultural and financial barriers, she has forged her path with resilience and authenticity. She is guided by the belief that music holds the power to connect and create change. She resonates deeply with Ramin Djawadi’s belief that, “If you were to turn the picture off, just by listening to the piece of music, there’s a story there and a connection to the characters and the plots.” To Keziah, this defines her work: composing scores that tell the story, carry emotion, move people, to connect them and to speak for the characters, even without visuals - carry stories beyond the screen.

At Berklee College of Music, where she is a Film Scoring major with a Conducting minor, Keziah has taken on both artistic and leadership roles. She has served as President of the Women’s Film Initiative Club, Student Success Director for the Student Government Association, Creative Director for Berklee productions such as Upside Down Universe alongside faculty advisor Maria Finkelmeier and more - all while maintaining a 3.95 GPA. These experiences have shaped her not only as a composer but also as a leader dedicated to building inclusive creative spaces.

Currently in her sixth semester, Keziah is expanding her hybrid scoring style and working on new projects that weave her cultural identity into her music. Looking ahead, she aims to pursue a career as a film composer while mentoring underrepresented artists in this field. She will use her voice to help others find theirs.

"I don’t just want to write music for myself; I want my work to empower more people, to remind them that their stories, too, are worth telling, their voices also need to be heard."
